EXPERIENCE

Charlie Barker is a Melbourne-based dog trainer and behavioural consultant with 20 years of industry experience. She holds a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Management Services (Delta, 2007) and is Fear Free Certified — working exclusively with force-free, positive reinforcement methods as recommended by the Australian Veterinary Association.

Charlie came to dog training through a love of tricks training and agility, spending her early years in the company of working breeds. That hands-on foundation grew into a career spanning puppy classes, basic manners, advanced training, agility, and one-on-one private consultations — and eventually into specialising in the dogs that need the most careful, considered support: anxious, fearful, and reactive dogs.

She works closely with vets and veterinary behaviourists, seeing clients in their own homes across Melbourne’s inner and suburban areas. Every session considers the emotional, physical, and environmental wellbeing of each dog — not just the behaviour presenting on the day.
